If you're looking for a way
to enliven a plain wall, try stamping. It's easier than stenciling, and
produces similar results. Purchase stamps at a craft store or home center.
Home Depot has some nice ones associated with Behr's Disney color line of
paints.
Before you stamp on the
walls, try out the technique on a board painted in the background color of
the wall. Apply colorful latex paint to the stamp with a sponge brush.
Stamp it once on a paper towel if necessary to remove excess paint. Then
press it on the board, pressing the entire back.
